Faith Formation

Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it." Then he embraced them and blessed them, placing his hands on them. (Mark 10: 13-16).

Sunday School

For a faith based community, an education program is very important in the formation of their future generations. In our heritage and culture, the Sunday School (CCD) program is established to help our community to hand over the faith that we received from our forefathers to the next generation. Accordingly, the Syro-Malabar Mission on Jacksonville conducts the religious education program for our children with the intention to help the young families in our community in their efforts to bring up the future generations as good citizens to their fellow beings as well as to the kingdom of God. All the topics are covered from Syromalabar catechism textbooks for each grades. The education is focusing on catholic faith, knowledge, discipline and morals.

The Sunday School Program is one of the major initiatives of our Parish, and it has made a good progress over the years.Classes are conducted from Kindergarten to 12th grade.
